Welcome to Horses for Swannes. By using our services, donating goods, or purchasing items, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

• All items donated to Horses for Swannes become the legal property of Horses for Swannes upon collection.
   
• Donated goods are accepted on the understanding that:
   
  • They are yours to donate and free from any legal or financial encumbrances.
     
  • They are in usable, sellable condition unless otherwise agreed.
     
• Horses for Swannes reserves the right to decline collection of items that are broken, excessively worn, unsanitary, or deemed unsafe.
   

• Once collected, donated items may be:
   
  • Sold via various channels, including retail partners, online sales, auction houses, or in-person events.
     
  • Recycled or disposed of if unsellable or damaged, at Horses for Swannes’ sole discretion.
     
  • Passed to third parties (e.g., scrap merchants, reuse programs) where resale is not viable.
     

• Horses for Swannes partners with nominated charities, schools, churches, and community groups.
   
• A portion of proceeds from the sale of donated goods is directed to the nominated organization.
   
• Payouts are made every six weeks, starting from the date of collection, and are accompanied by a summary report.
   

• All goods are sold on a “as is, where is” basis.
   
• No warranties or guarantees are given, expressed or implied.
   
• Items are second-hand unless explicitly marked otherwise.
   
• No refunds will be issued for:
   
  • Change of mind
     
  • Second-hand item performance or condition
     
  • Items collected in person or delivered by courier
     

• Items can be purchased via:
   
  • Cash on collection
     
  • Online invoice via debit or credit card (5% processing fee applies)
     
• Invoices must be paid in full prior to dispatch or handover of items.
   

• We endeavour to package items securely for postage, but:
   
  • Horses for Swannes is not liable for damage, loss, or delay during courier transit.
     
  • Customers must lodge claims directly with the courier company if damage or loss occurs.
     
• Tracking numbers are provided where applicable.
   

• Horses for Swannes operates as a licensed second-hand dealer and pawn broker in accordance with New Zealand law.
   
• We may record information about donors and buyers where required under second-hand goods legislation.
   

• We respect your privacy. Any personal information collected (e.g., for bookings, receipts, or invoicing) will be used solely for Horses for Swannes’ internal purposes and not sold or shared without consent, unless required by law.
   

• Horses for Swannes shall not be held liable for:
   
  • Losses arising from the resale of items
     
  • Discrepancies in perceived value
     
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
     
• Our maximum liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the item in question.
   

• Horses for Swannes reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and apply immediately upon posting.
